Matt Ngamdan — product designer and developer

My path started in the fast-paced startup world back in Bangkok, and now I live in Toronto. I've always lived right at the intersection of design and development. I spend just as much time thinking about user intuition and clean layouts as I do thinking about clean code, component architecture, and how things actually get built.

For me, design isn't just about making things look great in Figma; it's about understanding how the pieces fit together end-to-end. I design with a deep appreciation for engineering logic, which usually means fewer handoff and a smoother path from idea to shipped product.

When I'm away from my desk, I'm usually tracking my running splits, sipping the perfect espresso extraction, or experimenting with side projects to see what happens when you combine natural language with code.
